Exporters Associations are trade-based unions of exporters that promote cooperation between their members with the aim of increasing exports and thus contributing to the economic development of the country. Currently 62 exporters associations – both regional and sector-based – are active in Turkey. They are organized under 13 General Secretariats.
Uludağ Textile Exporters Association (UTIB) was established in 1986 by decree of the Council of Ministers. The Association, located in Bursa, is one of the largest Textile Exporters’ Associations in Turkey and has about 1.200 members. In 2015, UTIB surpassed 1,2 billion USD in exports.
The success is a result of the hard work of SME's as well as large, modern and vertically integrated companies which are capable of manufacturing and exporting their own unique collections.
Today, companies in the Association are intensively exporting to countries such as Russia, Germany, USA, Romania, Iran, UK, Italy, Poland, Morocco, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Ukraine, and others; more than 150 countries spanning every continent.
